Giggles

Last night we stayed up way past your bedtime because we were too busy laughing. I just couldnt put you down. You were SO happy. Like truly, HEY MOM LOOK AT THIS BIG SMILE EXPLODE ACROSS MY FACE, happy. I would tickle your knees and you would giggle so sharp. This laugh made your chin jut out and you'd lift up your chin. Other times you would do this warm fuzzy chuckle and you'd cock your head to the side and push your chin down.

There is nothing sweeter than a happy baby. There is nothing sweeter than you.

Easter, My Bday, and Your Milestone!!!!!!!!

Easter - We had a beautiful church service. You "sang" at the end with the rest of us! Daddy and I picked out your special easter dress and you wore white tight and shiny white shoes. I dreamed of this for a long time! We dyed eggs with my parents and you werent very impressed. I think next Easter will be much more exciting for you! Daddy's parents bought you an Easter bunny outfit and though the hat was too tight you looked ADORABLE! They spoiled you with outfits and Easter goodies!

Mom Turned 30 - You made my 30th birthday a beautiful day. It was full of love and laughter and my favorite gifts - my family.



YOU ROLLED OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was there to witness every part of it and I was so happy! We all cheered and clapped for you! WAY TO GO!

We Made It

So we made it through the week but not without damage. Daddy was at the dr on Monday. Owen went to the dr on Tuesday. I went to the dr on Wednesday. You came home with a cold on Thursday. We are all feeling better from strep and the flu but your cold is still hanging on. I hate seeing you sick. I just hate that I can't do anything to help you...

Today daycare was closed (they were sick too!) so you got to stay at home with Owen and Papa and Gramma Judy. I'm still at work but I just KNOW you are having lots of fun!!!

Daddy and I bought you so many cute outfits this weekend. We are still on the search for THEE perfect Easter dress :) I get so excited thinking of the outfits I get to put you in! Now that you are a bit more sturdy the outfits really SHOW, you know?

Last week you learned to roll on your side. Last night you let me sit you down and in "tripod" style you stayed - all by yourself. You arent so serious anymore and I can find you looking over at me with a big smile on your face. It pretty much makes my whole life!

You have been going to bed around 9 and sleeping til I wake you up around 6. You still sleep with us and I love snuggling with you. I know how fast time can go so I am holding on..TIGHT.

This is IT

My maternity leave is over and it is back to work for me. That means that this is the night where I watch you sleep, I watch you breathe, I watch you smile, I watch you grasp onto my hair, I watch you swipe at daddy, I look down and stare into your eyes as you nurse and watch that chubby little arm extend as your hand clings to the top of my shirt - trying to pull me closer. I soak it all in because I need all of this tomorrow when I am away. I need to feel those tiny toes wrap around my fingers, like a monkey foot, I need to feel that soft skin ad chunky rolls snuggle into my lap....ugh..I cant even type it. I just need you - today - tomorrow - forever. Leaving you for work feels unnatural to me. For some moms it works. For me, it doesnt. So I hope these last 9 weeks (and then summer!!) will be my last full time gig for awhile. (btw - i was pink slipped so it may just happen that way)

Your brother has been squeezing you and kissing you nonstop and you get a little irritated by that. He is on you A LOT :) However, he does everything he can to make you smile and it works :) My favorite is your silent giggle and then wait..squeal! You turn heads with that noise, believe me!!!

Right this moment: You are sleeping in your swing. Its 11 00 so you should be sleeping until 6 but you might nurse right before i go to bed. You are wearig nothing but a diaper because its 80 degrees in here. You are curled up and your sweet chub is highlighted by my computer screen. About an hour ago I was nursing you in a similar outfit and as I looked at you I realized what a beautiful picture it would be. We were one. My arm supported your arm, your leg was curved into my led, your hand rested on my chest as I rested my hand on your head. Its times like these I wonder how people can't believe in God. He made you for us. He brought Daddy and I together for YOU. He blessed me and watch over us as you grew inside of me. It is amazing. And if its something you want someday, I can NOT wait for you to experience it too. You know, when you are married and have a good job :) Sorry, I had to.

Well I better get the rest of my things together for tomorrow. I know I'll need my waterproof mascara.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Every morning I look down to find you nuzzled in to me and I smile. You are so warm. So soft. Just perfect. When you start to wake you open your eyes slowly, big moon eyes, and smile at me. I cant imagine starting my day in a more loving, sweet way.

This is my last week of maternity leave. Next Monday night we will both be recovering fom a very long, busy day. It will strange to go 8 hours without nursing you, without scooping you up and kissing your cheeks. It makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it. You will be loved while I'm away, I am sure of it. But I will miss you. Summer can't get here soon enough.

You are getting REALLY good at grabbing things. You noticed your feet today but havent grabbed them yet. You smile when dad twists you back and forth and giggles usually come out. love it!!!! Your brother loves you so much and always asks to hold you. He walks by and randomly kisses your head. He shared his sports balls with you and asks you to roll the ball to him (i help). I know I have said thsi before but I pray that you two love each other and support each other and stay friends forever.
