My Girl

I wonder how many times I reflect on the statement, "My girl..." I say it because I'm proud, I use it as an excuse for your extra dose of sass, I use as a loving term.... You have a little brother now and you could not love him more. You call him "Baby Beckham" or "Beckham Applesauce" or sometimes "Cuties" or "Little Handsome". You are in love. And WOW - he loves you! he smiles every time you talk to him. You have loved the warm days we've had - you could play in that sandbox all day. I'd probably let you if the mosquitos weren't so bad and if you weren't allergic to their bites! Your vocabulary is out of this world. The words you can pronounce, the attitude you give while talking, all of it...you are too grown up! Your hair is finally growing and we can put it in a big girl ponytail :) We have had so much fun over my maternity leave and after a few days back at work it will be summer break and we can continue! Long Overdue

I know, I know... I want everything to be fair between you and your sibling(s) but keeping up on your blog as much as Owen's when he was your age is tough! I am double and busy and three times as slow! You are about to you have baby brother or sister - you say its a "shishta" but we will have to wait and see - just 6 more days :) Let's catch up on you!!! You are amazing, incredible, brilliant, beautiful, hilarious, and absolutely 100% the most animated child I have ever known. You love to sing, dance, and use your arms to explain everything you're saying. You have to do EVERYTHING by "me-self." Though it does take longer and usually leaves me standing in the cold, with tennis shoes on and no coat, you get it done and I'm always excited for you. You FINALLY got a haircut. It's not enough to REALLY notice, but you have nice and neat bangs that allow me to see your gorgeous blue eyes. You totally get that a baby is coming out of my belly and that Dr. Wolfe will get the baby out. You love your private parts and do not treat them like they are private. We're working on this. You get in a trouble quite frequently for pulling down your pants and asking people to kiss your buns. You think its funny and its our fault for "threatening" to bite your buns... But that laugh is just too cute and I'll say anything to hear that high shrill giggle and watch you take off around the corner. You are rocking out potty training and usually only have an accident 2 times a week. Your legs are losing their chub and your belly is tight and tiny. Ahhh.. you were such a fat baby! Where did she go? I barely recognize this 26 month old! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, loves spending time with you. WHen you are brilliant, funny, and beautiful people just flock to you, I guess. You have your dad wrapped around your finger and can get away with whatever you want. Use it to your advantage - I did with my dad - but be ready for me to step in once and awhile --- you do NOT need a hot pink convertible for your 16th bday :) Anyway - if you can't tell, we love you. You and Owen are still best friends and though you have some pretty good fights, you protect one another at all times. Thank you, in advance, for being such a great big sister. Christmas and You are TWO!

There is always plenty to catch up on and trying to stay ahead of the game with you is impossible! Christmas was wonderful (besides Owen, Daddy, and you all having the flu - you also had croup and a sore throat) and you were spoiled rotten. We threw you a bookworm birthday party and you had SO much fun playing with 7 of your closest friends! Your actual birthday was spent sledding (YOU LOVED IT!!) and going out to dinner and then coming home to cake and ice cream. Having so much family time was a blessing! I think I say this is every post but you are HILARIOUS. I want to capture everything on video. You dance and say "shake your booty", you take a bath and stick out your bare buns and say, "spank my booty", and you will get out of the tub - naked - and yell NAKED GIRL and run around the house. We started potty training again a few days ago and you are rockin it. Your favorite part is wiping your "'gina" and washing your hands. You are constantly encouraging Owen and say, "Good Job, Owen" atleast 10 times a day. You love taking care of your babies and you are sooooo good with them! You can sing Rocka bye Baby and then you sway back and forth. You let me do your hair in piggies AND add a barrette for your bangs (they are finally growing!!). You want to sit RIGHT next to me and if something/someone is the they way you'll tell it to "Cooch" over. You love Ruby and boss her around all the time. You can count to 12. You have memorized two books. You are just amazing. Seriously. Your singing, your art, your reading, your heart...oh, 2 is SO good. You are loving and cuddly and such a REAL person now :) I miss my baby, but forever my baby you'll be. love, mama

If this image doesn't sum you up, I don't know what does! Beautiful, funny, and full of spunk! My most favorite part of 23 months old? That you are asking for cuddle again. You are still on the move 95% of the time, but the other 5% you are all mine..and daddy's :) You can sing ANY song we teach you and you remember any accompanying hand gestures (itsy bitsy spider). You can pronounce every letter of the alphabet PERFECTLY. You can count to 12. You are SO incredibly smart. I am putting together the final details of your party and it will be so much fun! A small little toddler party with lots of books and yummy bookworms :) You'll see! I love you so much. You bring immeasurable joy to daddy and me. You are such a great little sister and will be an amazing big sister in 13 weeks! love love LOVE you!

Oh Molly!

YOu are sassy! You know what you want, when you want it, and will do whatever it takes to get it. You are strong and stubborn and down right hilarious!!!! You make everyone laugh :) You LOVE babies. You love on the kids at daycare and baby them - even if they are only a few months younger than you. You take care of your baby doll all night - feeding, burping, and changing her diaper. You are so loving. You can count to 10. You go potty 90% of the time. We tried underwear this week but as of today you were demoted down to pull ups. Its ok - when you are ready, we will help! Your personality is amazing and I cannot wait to share in your life. You are full of spunk and love. love you!!

Get Out

I was trying to get you ready for bed and you were fighting me every step of the way. Finally Daddy came in to give you a kiss and you settled down - you knew you were defeated. But as I was giving you kisses on the floor you got up and pulled on the door, "Get out" you said. "No Molly, we need to go to bed. It's bedtime." "Get out" you replied. "No, Molly, let's go get cozy." I wasn't getting it. "Get out, Mommy," you demanded. Oh, I got it. And I cried. I forgive you by the way and I love that you love your daddy but...ouch!!!????
